Ferraille's Supermarket
in Galerie Lambiek

With 'Supermarché Ferraille', Galerie Lambiek opens its first exhibition on the new spot at Kerkstraat 132, on Friday, April 22nd. This travelling exposition was the big surprise at the Comic Festival in Angoulême in 2003 and since then the show makes a triumphal procession through Europe.

'Supermarché Ferraille' is the sideshow of the obstinate French underground magazine Ferraille Illustré, which already published 26 issues (the last six in full color) and several books.

Dozens of original pages and pieces by young talents like Blex Bolex, Bouzard, Besseron, Fanny Dalle-Rive, Vandermeulen and Emile Bravo will be on display, while the space of the gallery will be transformed into a cool supermarket where smart shoppers can get their daily dose of art, of course for the lowest prices.

The exhibition, which came about through gracious cooperation with French cultural institute Maison Descartes, will be held until May 31 - so if you happen to be in the neighborhood, grab your chance to experience one of the funniest and most unique expos you've ever seen.

join the 24 Hour Comic Book Day gang

Jean-Marc van Tol, artist and co-writer of the critically acclaimed cartoon 'Fokke & Sukke' and fellow-artists Flo and Tommy A will join the 24 Hour Comics Day, this year held on April 23rd. Headquarters will be at the Lambiek comicstore on Kerkstraat 132 and the event will start on Saturday, April 23rd at 11.00 A.M. local time and we will update the developments of the artists every hour on lambiek.net/24hourcomics/ and on the artists' sites, www.tommya.nl, www.poepoe.nl and www.doyouknowflo.nl. The Lambiek comic store will be open to the public all night for this occasion.
