Philip Xavier started his career in the comic industry in 1996 by penciling and inking the fantasy series 'Legendlore'. Xavier drew eighteen issues of the series, which led to an increasing popularity of the series. He also worked for the periodicals Frank Frazetta Fantasy Illustrated and Heavy Metal. More recently, he worked for Peregrine Entertainment on the series 'Books of Lore', along with writers David Napoliello and Kevin Tucker.

Combining his early French comic book influences with American techniques, Philip Xavier has created a very extraordinary, detailed style. He has been working for publisher Soleil, creating his first album 'Le Souffle' (written by Ange), which appeared in the summer of 2003. After living in the USA for many years, he now lives in Lyon. In 2004, he took over the artwok of the series 'Paradis Perdu' from Alberto Varanda (text by Ange).
