Walt Goossens is the son of the comics artist Gos, the creator of 'Le Scrameustache'. Walt followed his father's work with interest since his early childhood. At age sixteen, he began assisting his father on his series, contributing to the 'Scrameustache' books from 1983. Starting out with the lettering, he soon also began doing the inks and eventually the scripwriting and the pencil work. While assisting his father on the long adventures of 'Le Scrameustache', Walt did comics with 'Les Galaxiens' on his own or with scenario-writer François Gilson.
