Mauryce Motet was an early French comics artist and caricaturist, who drew for several publications in the early 20th century. He made his debut as an illustrator for Le Petit Illustré Amusant in 1900, before drawing picture stories for Le Bon Vivant in the following year. |

His work then appeared in among others Le Pêle-Mêle, Le Jeudi de la Jeunesse and La Jeunesse Illustrée. Motet was additionally co-author of the one-act comedy 'Soucis de la Paternité' with Henri Gambart. |
