Born in Rome, Bruno Marraffa entered the comics field by lettering the series 'Kriss' for a publisher from Venice in 1961. He then moved to England, where he lived and worked until 1971. Through the Spanish Bardon agency, he drew for magazines like Lion and TV Century XXI. For the publishing house Andersen, he made comic adaptations of the TV series 'Supercar' and 'Get Smart'. Back in Italy, he continued working for the British market, but he also began collaborations with Bianconi and Edifumetto.

Other creations for the UK market include 'Calamity Chayne' in Hot Spur and 'Felix' in Corsair. In Italy, he illustrated the title comic of the periodical 'Maki' in 1977, and he illustrated several episodes of 'Ken Parker' and 'Mister No' between 1979 and 1983. For Ediperiodici, he made 'Zordon', followed by 'Lo Scheletro', 'Il Vampiro', 'I Notturni' and 'Zan della Jungla'.
