Eric Liberge has collaborated on several fanzines since 1990. He soon joined the teams of the fanzines Le Goinfre and PLG, where he began doing graphic experiments. In 1996, he created his 'Monsieur Mardi-Gras Descendres' project, that first appeared in the fanzines PLG, Ogoun and Golem. The first album of this series appeared at Zone Créative, but it was reprinted by Pointe Noire after winning the Prix René Goscinny in 1999. Since 2004, the series is continued in the collection Empreinte(s) of Dupuis. In 2000, he began his series 'Le Dernier Marduk', at PMJ. As a scenarist, he teamed up with the young artist Vincent Gravé to start 'Ralayer' in 2001. In 2003, he began the series 'Metal' at Soleil Productions, a publisher for which he had earlier created the one-shot 'Tonnerre Rampant'.
