Denis Lapière is a prominent scenario writer of contemporary comics. After having a bookshop in Charleroi he started writing comic scenarios in the mid-80s. For Éric Maltaite he wrote a few stories that were published in Spirou, followed by 'Mono Jim' for l'Echo de Savannes. For that same magazine, he worked with Jean-Philippe Stassen on 'Bahamas' and 'Bullwhite'. At the same time, he wrote 'Mauro Caldi' for Michel Constant and 'Jerry et Line' for Peter Pluut. In 1989 he returned to Spirou with the series 'Alice et Léopold' (with Olivier Wozniak) and 'Charly' (with Magda). |
