A true wonder-child, Dragan Kalmarevic published his first work in the Belgrade newspaper Pravda at the mere age of 10. At the age of 13, he worked for Mike Mis magazine, drawing stories like 'Heroj neba' and 'Pakleni Pronalazak'. Most of the time, he used the pseudonym Marijan Ebner, but he also signed with Veljko Kockar. For the magazine Paja Patak (Donald Duck), he produced 'Gresnica', 'Zivo gvozde' and 'Osveta kraljice Tao Kaj'. In the 1950s, he returned to comics with 'Suma Gori' in Robinzon magazine. Also, for Veseli Zabavnik, he made 'Dovedite ih Zive'. In the 1960s, he made a new version of 'Suma Gori' for Zenit.
