Leo van Grinsven was educated at the Tilburg Art Academy. He was one of the illustrators for the Catholic magazine De Engelbewaarder. In the 1930s, he drew comics like 'Dirkje Drop', 'Tante Leida Pannelat' and 'Steven Sterkenarm', which were all written by Jos. van den Bosch. |

Between 1938 and 1941, three book collections were published by R.K. Jongensweeshuis in Tilburg, 'Avonturen van Tante Leida Pannelat', 'Steven Sterkenarm', and 'Steven Sterkenarm en Bram de Boef'. After World War II, he illustrated three 'Puk en Muk' stories by Frans Franssen, a series that was previously drawn by the Austrian illustrator Carl Storch. |
