Geza Dirks studied cultural anthropology and social geography, but decided to try his luck at becoming a freelance illustrator and comic artist in 1992. Staring out in a bizarre underground style, he published in psychedelic drug magazines like Highlife and Soft Secrets. A less bizarre style was employed for comics in teenage magazines such as Primeur, Kijk and Breakout!, as well as periodicals Onkruid and Alles-op-Tien. For magazine Kijk, he created the comic 'TechnoTess', which he also self-published as an album. Besides comics, Geza makes posters, illustrations, flyers, storyboards, websites, animations and music.
