Attila Fazekas was born in Keszthely, Hungary in 1948. He made his debut in comics in 1973, when his first comic, 'Adventure of Ujvár' was published. Since then he has been working on comics continuously, drawing approximately 150 stories in 4500 pages, becoming a comic artist in the line of the "great Hungarian school", set by artists like Erno Zorad and Imre Sebok. In 1984, he created the character Botond, one of the heroic Hungarian settlers. It was followed by the character of Captain Perseus and many comics based on popular movies like Star Wars, Ghostbusters and Ben Hur. In 1989, Fazekas launched his own magazine, Botond. It folded in 1994 but was successfully revived in 2004. Besides comics, Attila Fazekas is also a painter and book illustrator. His erotic drawings and comics have become popular and were published in 'Szexi'. His comics have also been published in Czechoslovakia, Poland, East Germany and Yugoslavia.
