Fernando Dias Da Silva is a native of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil who emigrated to the United States to pursue a career in the commercial art field. Over the years, his credits include contributions in the fields of advertising, book illustration, syndicated comics and sports illustration. His work appeared regularly in Playboy Magazine, Encyclopedia Britannica, World Book Encyclopedia, and the Chicago Tribune. His comic credits include work on the 'Rex Morgan, M.D.' strip in the early 1980s, among others.
