Born in Jiangsu Province, Chen Huiling was very much influenced by the works of cartoonist Feng Zikai and gradually became a self-taught cartoonist. In 1935, his cartoons were frequently published by Modern Cartoon magazine in Shanghai. From the on, he took cartooning as a life-long career. He has also worked at the Jiangsu College of Education and as an art editor for the Pre-school Education Monthly. |
