Gilles Cazaux began his career in advertising, before he turned to animation. He worked at Ellipsanime, where he did story-boards for the television series of 'Tintin' and 'Bob Morane'. He also cooperated on the animated 'Corto Maltese' film (2002). At the same time, he worked on two collective comics albums about Boris Vian and Edith Piaf at Vents d'Ouest. With Thierry Soufflard, he started 'Le Grand Large' in 2002. He cooperated with Arthur Qwak on 'Mémoires d'un Incapable'.
